CUSTOMER EXPERTS - PUBLIC SECTOR - TEMPORARY CONTRACT

Start Dates: 31 March 2026, 8 April 2026, 15 April 2026, 29 April 2026

Salary: £26,436.80

Site: Work from Home

Hours per week: 40 hours/week

Shifts: Mon-Fri – between 8am – 6pm

Training Duration: 3 days of virtual training

Contract: 4 - 12 week temporary contract

Who are we?

You will handle inbound calls from citizens requiring appointment booking, following a referral letter being received by the citizen. This will include booking, rescheduling, and cancelling appointments on a booking system. We are looking for good communicators, who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with a high regard for efficiency and accuracy. You will have a polite and professional telephone manner, the ability to empathise with your citizens whilst always respecting and understanding their needs.

What does an average day look like?

A typical day will see you working in a lively & vibrant environment. You will start your day signing into your systems, making sure you are ready for the day ahead. From this point, you will be assisting a range of different citizens, or family members of citizens, who have received a referral and will work effectively to ensure we are providing accurate information and support to them at all times.

  • You may be assisting citizens in booking appointments or rearranging to find an appointment that works for them, either way, you will be their first point of contact and resolve in a professional, polite and super friendly way at all times.
  • You may also liaise with health care professionals, such as nurses, carers, doctors etc. to confirm appointment times and dates for citizens.
  • You will be required to offer service excellence at every opportunity and preserve data confidentiality at all times, in accordance with the GDPR.

  • Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to show attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish collaborative customer relationships in a fast-paced environment.
  • A good attitude and the ability to interact with lots of different people.
  • Professional and friendly telephone manner.
  • Customer Service experience.
  • Experience of working in a target driven environment to a high standard.
  • PC skills, and the ability to navigate multiple systems competently, with ease.
  • A good consistent typing speed.
  • Take ownership of situations with positivity, resilience, and a dedicated approach to providing service excellence.
  • Able to work within a fast paced, engaging environment.
