We have an opening for an additional role within our UK Privacy Risk and Compliance team. Reporting into the Data Privacy Director, this role is a great opportunity for a dynamic and passionate person to grow or further develop data privacy (GDPR/DPA) skills in a leading BPO, working with clients and internal departments to meet legislative requirements through best practice data privacy and compliance standards and controls.

Location: UK hybrid working with some travel to offices around the UK required

Contract: Permanent – 37.5 hours

Responsibilities:

  • Application and ongoing maintenance of the TP Control based framework for corporate data privacy, Governance and compliance for the UK and Ireland, including but not limited to:
    • Privacy Notices
    • Record of Processing
    • Consent
    • Contract reviews
    • Control monitoring, evidencing, upload and reporting
    • Regulator POC
    • Monitoring applicable laws and regulations and horizon scanning
    • Record Retention
    • Training monitoring
    • DSAR
    • Incident Management
    • Vendor Due Diligence (oversight)
    • Risk identification and mitigation
    • Anti Money Laundering
    • Government Demands
    • Attending and supporting client bids and client due diligence (audits)

Skills and Experience:

  • Essential:
    • Fluent in English
    • Integrity and commitment / self-driven
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Assertiveness
    • Ability to engage and work well at all levels in the organization
    • Previous work experience in either risk, compliance or privacy
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply critical thinking skills to a given problem or project
    • Strong influencing skills are a necessity for this position as you will be working with multiple functions within the country and region to ensure delivery of the global privacy, risk and compliance program objectives
    • Stakeholder Management
    • Natural curiosity
    • The ability to prioritise what is important with regards to data protection risk to mitigate those risks in a timely manner
  • Preferred/nice to have:
    • Working knowledge of Data Privacy Regulations with a recognized certification or the ability to gain a recognized Certification within the first 6 months in the position
    • Ideally has a working knowledge of Anti Money Laundering legislation and application
