Our Field teams are critical in the delivery of our contracts, whether that is delivering, or supervising maintenance, installation, cabling, or civils works. Help build and keep the nation's critical infrastructure connected and protected 24/7.

What you'll do:

  • Reporting to and directed by the Area Manager, you will be accountable for Stage 3 of the ONSA delivery process ensuring that all works underpinned in the programme at stage 2 are delivered as planned.
  • Manage the sub-contractor suppliers in their contractual tasks.
  • Provide regular reports on project status.
  • Drive a culture of Health and Safety and manage that throughout.
  • Resource planning and confirmation.
  • In-life issue management and reporting.
  • Through your team of Field Agents see all programmed works through to finish on site and engineering completion.
  • Pro-actively drive Safety, Quality and Streetworks performance across the supply chain base.
  • Supported by a team of telent Field Agents work in partnership with suppliers locally to provide a competent supply chain that will deliver all customer programmes of work safely, to quality and on time.
  • Working with your suppliers locally and the telent PMO you will ensure that all delivery targets and customer priority outcomes are achieved through a clear focus on the completion of priority works.
  • You will ensure full compliance with telent's delivery systems requirements and provide support on escalations and complaints.
  • You will work with your suppliers to scale and scope their workforce to address all works in their workstack in line with telent's contractual terms of delivery.
  • Provide line management and clear direction to a team of Field Agents in the field.

Key requirements:

  • Experience in a Delivery/Operational management role.
  • Previous experience of supervising civils, poling or cable gangs working in the highways network.
  • NRSWA Unit 2 & 10
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • In addition to the 'all employee' training Patch Manager must complete the following training within 6 months of being appointed:
  • Incident Investigation
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Hot Job Monitor
  • Negotiation Skills
  • First Aid at Work - Appointed Person/Awareness
  • Managing Temporary Works
  • Use of Solo, Qlikview, Connect Mobile etc.
  • Business Acumen
