Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, the Senior Buyer (Comms) is responsible for supporting the delivery of a structured sourcing and fulfilment strategy targeted to deliver significant efficiencies and cost savings, demonstrating value. This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to be in our Warwick HQ 2 days per week.
What you'll do:
- Support of RFx activities for both Bid tenders and Projects including creation and issue of NDAs
- Support for maintenance of approved supplier list (ASL)
- Responsible for Supplier on-boarding and evaluation
- Support investigations of supplier performance failures and work with SQA team to find resolutions
- Support supplier relationship management and develop best-fit business review schedule, in line with supplier classification
- Support with the creation and production of procurement reports and departmental metrics
- Support for all RFx activities, sourcing process, negotiation and contracting activities for high value categories.
- Responsible for the evaluation of suppliers as part of supplier on-boarding process and implementation of iProcurement strategy category code management in line with Category strategy
- Responsible for on-going supplier performance and supplier relationship management throughout the contract lifetime, including inputs to risk register and risk mitigation strategies.
Who you are:
You have experience in a similar role when you have been involved in labour or services buying, ideally within complex or fast-paced environments. You're confident managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts, with a clear focus on delivering value, managing risk, and ensuring service quality.
Key Requirements:
- Degree / HND / HNC or equivalent in an appropriate discipline Or Professional qualification MCIPS, preferably Chartered status
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management approach and skills
- Effective prioritisation of workload
- Experience of Microsoft Office 365 products especially MS Excel
- Experience or using Oracle systems, especially Oracle iProcurement would be an advantage
