Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager, the Electrical Design Engineer will be tasked with designing, building, testing, developing and creating the installation and maintenance methods for products, structures, systems or processes associated with Electrical Power systems.
This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to be in our Warwick HQ and to visit UK based Rail sites on an ad-hoc basis.
What you'll do:
- Develop electrical designs and detailed technical plans, schematics, and installation instructions.
- Take concepts from initial design through to implementation, including production and site installation.
- Design electrical distribution and power systems, including AC/DC, UPS, battery systems, circuits, and cabling.
- Apply mathematical and scientific principles to create real-world, workable solutions to engineering challenges.
- Conduct site surveys to assess infrastructure and ensure designs are practical and compliant.
- Produce technical reports and regulatory documentation to demonstrate compliance with standards.
