Travel and occasional overnight stays are required to deliver the training which is both classroom and site based at various locations across England, ideally you will be located in the south of England.
What you’ll do
- Delivery of HESA training in line with the Highways Training Plan
- Reviewing training products to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications
- Take responsibility for training engineers both in the classroom and in the field
- Expedite trainees to full operative status
- Assessment of training needs and objectives, and designing and developing training initiatives as required
The successful Technical Trainer will have previous experience in delivering this type of training or have a level 3 in adult educational training to help Telent identify, develop and deliver the training. The role will work collaboratively with representatives from Operations, QEHS, Training and other departments (as required) to deliver a successful Training Academy.
Key Requirements
- Have experience of training delivery and a good understanding of the HERS process.
- Creating, testing and documenting training material and updating existing training
- Providing subject matter expertise and administration of the training system and its operation across all programmes in multiple media
- To expedite new starters and maintain existing engineers to be deployed roadside under sector 8.
- Happy to travel and with occasional overnight stays
- Hold Full UK Driving Licence
