Traffic Signals Installation Technician Location : Salisbury, Wiltshire, and Hampshire regions – FIELD BASED Job Type : Full-Time, Permanent Reference : 1075 Are you a Technician / Engineer who thrives out in the field, loves hands-on work, and has a passion for electrical installations? We\’re looking for a Traffic Signals Installation Technician to join our dynamic Traffic Signal Engineering team at Telent! This is an exciting, outdoor-focused role where you\’ll make a real impact in the fast-paced, ever-evolving world of Traffic Signalling. This is a Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) role. Due to growing demand from our local authority customers, this is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to expand their skills in the niche Traffic Signalling industry. You\’ll also have the chance to complete your NVQ Level 2 Highways Electrical Installation certification through LANTRA , giving you the tools to advance your career further. Traffic Signals Installer – What You\’ll Be Doing: Installing Traffic Signals & Systems : Get your hands on installing Traffic Signalling equipment, controllers, radar systems, and ancillary equipment. Hands-On Electrical Work : From wiring cables to setting up controllers and performing tests, you\’ll be responsible for delivering top-tier electrical installations. Working Outdoors : This is a field-based role that gets you out in the fresh air, working across the Salisbury, Wiltshire, and Hampshire regions. Collaborating with Teams : Work alongside contractors, Civils teams and Traffic Management, to ensure installations are seamless and meet our customer specifications. Safety & Compliance : Maintain high health and safety standards, carry out risk assessments, and ensure all equipment and certifications are up to date. Customer Interaction : Be the face of Telent on-site, liaising with customers and the public, ensuring satisfaction through quality of service and our installations. Traffic Signals Installation Technician – What We\’re Looking For: Electrical Installation Experience : You\’ve got some basic experience under your belt, whether it\’s in electrical installations, street lighting, traffic signals, or other outdoor electrical systems like CCTV, ANPR, or speed cameras – any outdoors electrical installations, we will consider! Field-Based Mindset : You enjoy working outdoors, adapting to different environments and weather conditions. You\’re self-driven, motivated, and able to work autonomously when required. Tech-Savvy : Comfortable using a tablet and mobile device to support your work out in the field. Attention to Detail : You can follow technical instructions and diagrams with ease.
