The Opportunity:
TelenceSolutions is seeking an exceptionally driven and results-oriented Sales Director to lead our professional services sales efforts. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial sales leader to significantly impact our growth, with uncapped earning potential on a strictly commission-only basis for the first year.
You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities for our professional services, spanning a diverse and powerful ecosystem of 8 strategic vendor technologies:
- Cisco
- Juniper
- Arista
- Versa
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
This role is ideal for a hunter who thrives on building relationships, understanding complex technical needs, and articulating the value of expert professional services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed professional services revenue targets across all assigned vendor technologies.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and leveraging existing relationships within the enterprise and service provider sectors.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, accurately forecasting sales and effectively managing opportunities through the entire sales cycle.
- Conduct in-depth discovery calls and meetings to understand client pain points, technical requirements, and business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with TelenceSolutions\’ technical and delivery teams to craft compelling, tailored proposals and statements of work (SOWs) that address client needs.
- Clearly articulate the value proposition of TelenceSolutions\’ professional services, demonstrating how our expertise can optimize client infrastructure, enhance security, and accelerate cloud adoption.
- Lead contract negotiations and close complex deals, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for TelenceSolutions and our clients.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and new offerings from our key vendor partners (Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Versa, MS Azure, AWS, Palo Alto).
- Represent TelenceSolutions professionally at industry events, conferences, and client engagements.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions within our CRM system.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of 7+ years in B2B technology sales, with at least 3-5 years specifically selling professional services (e.g., Consulting, Design/Integration, Managed services, Implementation Services).
- Demonstrable success in a commission-only or highly commission-driven sales environment is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding and established network within the IT/Telecom industry, particularly in networking, cloud computing, and cybersecurity domains.
- Strong working knowledge of at least 3-4 of the following vendor technologies/ecosystems: Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Versa, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Palo Alto Networks. Experience with multiple vendors is a significant advantage.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Hunter mentality with a strong ability to prospect, qualify, and close new business.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
- Bachelor\’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
