We are currently recruiting for two Heat Treatment Operatives on behalf of a well-established and respected steel engineering business based in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in the steel industry who are looking for a long-term, permanent position within a structured and safety-driven environment.
The Role: This is a hands-on, multi-skilled position within the Heat Treatment Department, supporting the receipt, processing and dispatch of materials. Duties will include:
- Goods receipt and dispatch ensuring full material traceability
- Identifying material before and after heat treatment
- Reporting any anomalies to management
- Charge make-up and break-down in line with reports
- Straightening and brinelling
- Working to production deadlines
- Strict adherence to Health & Safety procedures
What We're Looking For:
- Background within the steel or heavy industrial sector
- Strong awareness of safe systems of work
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment
- Reliable with good timekeeping and attendance
- Flexible and proactive approach (Forklift/side loader and manual handling training can be provided.)
Hours of Work – 3 Shift Rotation (40 hours per week):
