We are currently looking to recruit a Production Manager for our client's premix manufacturing plant to play a key role in maximising productivity, efficiency, quality, safety and customer service.

Duties (summarised):

  • Oversee the safe, efficient & effective operation of the production
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in line with HSE rules and procedures
  • Ensure the Quality of manufactured goods/services by managing to prescribed quality systems
  • Coordinate training of all new operatives and existing team
  • Plan manpower requirements and assign people to work places and plants
  • Ensure concise and timely delivery of all communication
  • Adopts a Continuous Improvement mindset, identifying and implementing improvements to process, systems and practices
  • Ensure Plant cleanliness meets company standards.

What you will bring:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a First Line Manager and/or Production Management role within a high volume target driven environment
  • Previous experience working in industries involving blending powders e.g. Food, premix, pharma would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Food Safety/HACCP requirements an advantage
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team
  • Ability to manage and resolve issues through systematic root cause analysis
