We’re recruiting for a skilled CNC Press Brake Setter / Operator to join an innovative engineering & R&D-style manufacturing lab producing high-precision, low-volume components. This is NOT a button-pushing production role. We need someone who can take a job from engineering drawing to finished part, independently and accurately.
THE ROLE:
- Set CNC press brake machines from scratch
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Select tooling & determine bend sequences
- Produce one-off and small batch precision parts
- First-off inspection & quality control
- Work in a fast-paced innovation / prototype environment
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT:
- Proven experience working with ALUMINIUM on press brake machinery (including spring-back control, tolerances, and forming behaviour)
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Strong CNC press brake setting experience (not just operating)
- Confident working without USB / pre-loaded programs
- Solid sheet metal fabrication knowledge
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
THE ENVIRONMENT:
You’ll be joining a modern innovation lab, not a traditional production shop. Work includes prototypes, bespoke components, and constantly evolving technical challenges. No two jobs are the same.
If you’re a proper setter/operator with aluminium experience who can read drawings and deliver quality without hand-holding, we want to hear from you.
