Due to their continued expansion of their business and product range our Client, a fast-growing engineering supply manufacturer are now recruiting time‑served General Machinist to join their busy, friendly team. The suitable candidate will also have CAM experience and experience with CAD would really help your application. You will be a genuine team player who can also work on their own initiative to provide solutions.
Duties of the CNC Machine Operator:
- Reading technical drawings
- Turning, Milling and Grinding both manual and CNC machines
- Working from detailed drawings
- All measuring, programming & work carried out with precision, accuracy & within tolerances
- Working as a team to ensure deadlines are met
- Accountable for own work & flagging issues or error
- Surface & flat grinding
Essential Skills of the CNC Machine Operator:
- Time served (min 3 years) in Engineering
- Working to high levels of precision by hand and when using CNC machines
- Ability to problem solve, spot errors and provide solutions to issues that arise
Desirable Skills:
- Ability to work to deadlines, multi-task and prioritise
- Ability to work in a team as well as complete tasks under own initiative
