Our client is a world leader in custom designed Ejector technology for the Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Water Treatment, Chemical and Process industries. The company is IP‑led, growing rapidly and innovating.
This is a full‑time permanent position. The Technical Sales Engineer will support the Sales Department primarily in the Oil & Gas sector, assisting with production boosting ejectors, flare gas recovery ejectors, packaged ejector systems and other product areas. The role offers a competitive starting salary, benefits and strong prospects for promotion.
Responsibilities- Assist the Sales Department with Oil & Gas related work, including production boosting ejectors (recover more oil & gas from wells) and flare gas recovery ejectors.
- Support sales enquiries by assessing specifications, reviewing mechanical design requirements, interpreting P&ID drawings and preparing product data sheets.
- Prepare cost estimates, manage quotations and compile quotation documentation.
- Handle technical and quality queries from clients pre‑ and post‑quotation.
- Attend bid clarification and off‑site meetings with clients when required.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide process design assistance and ensure smooth hand‑over of new projects from Sales to other functions.
- Identify and recommend improvements to product design and standardise the existing product range, working with the Sales team to streamline technical sales procedures.
- Communicate directly with clients via telephone, Skype or video conferencing.
- Excellent communication and written English skills.
- Strong computer literacy, especially with Excel.
- Experience in package system design (pumps, valves, instrumentation, etc.) is advantageous.
- Chemical or Process Engineering Degree (BEng or MEng) with a minimum of 4 years industry experience.
