Job Overview:

The Product Development Specialist will be responsible for seeking and developing growth opportunities for the company’s services and products. Working with multi-functional teams, you will lead and manage the life cycle of a product, conduct market research including market surveys and customer surveys, create business plans, as well as liaise, and manage third party partners. You will also be responsible for supporting the Legal team in preparing contracts and service description operating flows.

Key tasks:

  • Contribute to and prepare service and product plans for Telehouse to enhance its data centre connectivity business, supported by market research.
  • Scanning market intelligence to explore business opportunities.
  • Coordinate service and product plans by collaborating with business partners.
  • Improve the company’s existing product offerings understanding latest customer needs and market trend.
  • Project Management: proactively and professionally manage the entire “project cycle” from lead generation and lead management to prospecting, arranging appointments, preparing proposals and presentations, negotiating, closing and handing over new partnership developments to the business.
  • Provide analysis on optimal options based on accurate analysis on Pros/Cons. Analysis should be based on the acquired information and results such as sales trend. In addition, visualisation of potential risks and clarification of risk levels.
  • Support the company’s service and product partnerships with 3rd party companies, pre- and post- launch, assisting them in accomplishing their individual business commitments.
  • Responsible for products and services including defining service conditions, developing and managing orders and operation processes, as well as documentation.
  • Essential requirements:

  • Educated to degree level in a Business Administration or Economic subject
  • Product Development experience within ICT business or data centres.
  • Project management experience including external members.
  • Evidence of delivering significant financial and non-financial benefits to a commercial organisation.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of identifying, managing and closing new business opportunities.
  • Proficient analytical skills and a measured approach to decision making.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, within the business and with suppliers.
