Job Description
The Role: Reporting to the Procurement Manager this role will support the businesses supplier onboarding and ongoing contract management function. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of onboarding and reviewing suppliers as well as supporting the Procurement Manager on ongoing supplier management tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the Supplier on-boarding process, including carrying out due diligence on potential new suppliers;
- Collate requirements, issues and risks from key stakeholders in the selection and on-boarding process;
- Conduct/facilitate negotiations with suppliers on terms / commercials in collaboration with Legal and internal stakeholders as required, delivering on costs savings across suppliers where possible;
- Participate in Supplier Board meetings as required;
- Manage the Procurement Team’s Inbox and act as a main point of contact of the department;
- Keep the Supplier App / Contracts Register / Supplier Onboarding Processes up to date, collect key contractual data; track expiry dates; manage renewals to assigned contracts;
- For the lifetime of assigned contracts, be a point of contact for any contractual queries including T&Cs and SLAs;
- Working with the Contracts Advisor as required and help support in the business conducting regular reviews on suppliers to ensure that they remain compliant; contractual obligations are met, SLAs are achieved and performance is at or above expected levels;
- Share supplier and product knowledge and implement best practice and standards.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience of working in procurement preferably gained within an IT reseller / distribution environment;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Ability to be proactive in finding opportunities to improve the company’s position in relation to its suppliers;
- The ability to present findings succinctly and with a commercial focus;
- Excellent administration skills;
- Proficient in the use of CRM systems and MS packages including Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
- Significant experience of Procurement processes and full order life cycle;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to build and maintain relationships and work cross functionally and interact confidently;
- Robust and resilient in approach – has the confidence to challenge and 'push back’ when required;
- Solid planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work;
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work under pressure to deadlines;
- Ability to carry out tasks to a high standard with a strong eye for attention to detail and thorough approach to their work;
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Ability to respond quickly and efficiently to queries;
- Demonstrates creative thinking and problem-solving skills but knows when to escalate issues;

Additional Information
Location: Based from our Head Office, but can be remote. Hours: Monday to Friday 09.00 – 17.30 (37.5 hours per week) Start date: ASAP Must have the right to live and work in the UK. Due to our location, access to own transport is essential.
