We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled EUC Refresh Engineer to join our team supporting a busy client in Cambridge. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and efficient refresh of desktop and laptop devices for hospital staff within a complex and demanding hospital environment. You will be working on‑site within a busy and dynamic hospital environment, directly with end‑users, requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills alongside technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and configure new desktop and laptop devices (hardware and software) according to established standards and procedures, including imaging, software installation, and peripheral setup.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on end‑user devices, escalating complex problems to senior engineers as needed.
  • Provide friendly and professional on‑site support to hospital staff during the refresh process.
  • Accurately record and track hardware assets throughout the refresh process, ensuring proper disposal of old equipment.
  • Collaborate closely with other IT teams and hospital staff to coordinate refresh activities and minimize disruption to clinical operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including hardware and software configurations, troubleshooting steps, and user interactions.
  • Follow all relevant company policies and procedures, including data security and confidentiality guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in end‑user compute (EUC) device refresh/deployment in a large and complex environment (healthcare experience desirable).
  • Strong understanding of desktop and laptop hardware and software, including Windows operating systems, common office applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Experience with imaging and deployment tools, such as SCCM.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
