Job Description
The purpose of the Enterprise Architect is to provide technical leadership and strategic direction, with overall responsibility for the technical quality of ERP transformation programmes and solution delivery. The Enterprise Architect will act as a mentor and leader to the practice delivery team and be responsible for the quality, consistency, and governance of enterprise architecture across both pre-sales and delivery engagements.
This position requires a strong blend of business transformation expertise, enterprise architecture capability, and client engagement skills to deliver high-value solutions that drive operational excellence and digital transformation through Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management and the wider Microsoft ecosystem.
Your Responsibilities:
- Working as part of AI Business Solutions to achieve the overall objectives of the company by driving high standards of work, technical excellence, and continuous improvement in delivery quality.
- Working as part of the Leadership Team and in alignment with the Practice Director and Head of Sectors to ensure delivery quality and architectural consistency across programmes.
- Providing technical leadership across all D365 F&SCM projects within the practice, including ownership of technical strategy, solution architecture, and transformation roadmaps.
- Defining and governing enterprise architecture standards, ensuring alignment to Microsoft best practices and industry frameworks.
- Ensuring adherence to governance processes to maintain quality, control, and effective risk management throughout project lifecycles.
- Ensuring proposed architectures comply with security, compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements, particularly within highly regulated industries.
- Providing design assurance and architectural oversight across all ERP transformation projects.
- Driving automation, process optimisation, and innovation through the adoption of D365 F&SCM, Power Platform, Azure services, and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Leading and mentoring architects, consultants, and delivery resources throughout the lifecycle of client engagements.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, providing strategic guidance on business transformation and enterprise architecture.
- Supporting the sales cycle by providing thought leadership, architecture expertise, and technical assurance during opportunity qualification, solution shaping, and proposal development.
- Working closely with the Presales function to ensure robust solution design, technical assurance, and realistic delivery estimates.
- Supporting programme estimation and planning activities in collaboration with Practice and Sector leadership teams.
Qualifications Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management transformation programmes.
- Deep understanding of ERP business processes including: Finance, Procurement and Sourcing, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Manufacturing, Master Planning, Asset Management, Project Operations.
- Extensive knowledge of the D365 F&SCM platform, architecture, extensibility model, integration capabilities, and Microsoft ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and experience defining technology strategies, target operating models, and transformation roadmaps.
- Proven experience gaining buy-in from executive stakeholders, business sponsors, and technical leadership teams.
- Demonstrable experience leading architecture governance, design authorities, and technical assurance processes.
- Customer-focused mindset with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills at all organisational levels.
- Strong people leadership skills with experience mentoring multidisciplinary teams including Solution Architects, Technical Architects, Functional Consultants, and Delivery Managers.
- Demonstrable experience contributing to thought leadership initiatives, industry events, and strategic client discussions.
- Experience supporting commercial teams throughout the sales lifecycle, including solution shaping, bid responses, and client presentations.
- Experience estimating complex ERP programmes and defining implementation approaches.
- Strong understanding of integration architecture, Azure services, data migration strategies, reporting, analytics, and automation capabilities.
- Practical experience operating as an Enterprise Architect within large-scale digital transformation programmes.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Integration Services, Data & Analytics, and Power Platform.
- TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management certifications.
