The L2 Network Engineer will manage, maintain and support network infrastructure, perimeter security systems, and network management platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting network and security infrastructure
  • Troubleshooting complex network issues, identifying bottlenecks, implementing solutions for optimal performance
  • Optimizing network infrastructure for maximum performance and scalability
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and inventory records
  • Prepare regular reports on network performance, availability, and security
  • Day‑to‑day patching, maintenance and operation in secure environments
  • Continual improvement of systems based on changing demands
  • Liaise with various departments within the business
  • Coordinate with third‑party suppliers and partners to support, implement, and maintain systems

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Experience of enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN management
  • Experience of Cisco, HPE, Aruba
  • Experience of firewall technologies, particularly Fortinet
  • Experience of network monitoring, troubleshooting and management tools
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Desirable:

  • Fortinet certification
  • Aruba certification

Additional Information

  • You will be required to work fully on-site Mon‑Fri
  • This role requires participation in 24/7 On-call, which operates on a rotational basis
  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK
  • Due to our location, access to own transport is essential
  • Must meet Security Clearance requirements if this is a requirement of the role and any offer would be conditional upon the successful candidate passing BPSS which includes a criminal record check
