The L2 Network Engineer will cover management, maintenance and support of network infrastructure, perimeter security systems and network management platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting network and security infrastructure
- Troubleshooting complex network issues, identifying network bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to ensure optimal network performance
- Optimizing network infrastructure to ensure maximum performance and scalability
- Maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory records
- Prepare regular reports on network performance, availability, and security
- Day‑to‑day patching, maintenance and operation of the above in secure environments
- Continual improvement of the systems based on changing demands
- Liaise with various departments within the business
- Co‑ordinate with 3rd‑party suppliers and partners to support, maintain and implement these systems
Qualifications
Essential
- Experience of enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN management
- Experience of Cisco, HPE, Aruba
- Experience of firewall technologies, particularly Fortinet
- Experience of network monitoring, troubleshooting and management tools
Desirable
- Cisco certification
- Fortinet certification
- Aruba certification
Additional Information
- You will be required to work fully on‑site Monday to Friday
- This role requires participation in 24/7 on‑call, which operates on a rotational basis
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK
- Due to our location, access to own transport is essential
- Must meet Security Clearance requirements if this is a requirement of the role and any offer would be conditional upon the successful candidate passing BPSS which includes a criminal record check
