The L2 Network Engineer will cover management, maintenance and support of network infrastructure, perimeter security systems and network management platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting network and security infrastructure
  • Troubleshooting complex network issues, identifying network bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to ensure optimal network performance
  • Optimizing network infrastructure to ensure maximum performance and scalability
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory records
  • Prepare regular reports on network performance, availability, and security
  • Day‑to‑day patching, maintenance and operation of the above in secure environments
  • Continual improvement of the systems based on changing demands
  • Liaise with various departments within the business
  • Co‑ordinate with 3rd‑party suppliers and partners to support, maintain and implement these systems

Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience of enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN management
  • Experience of Cisco, HPE, Aruba
  • Experience of firewall technologies, particularly Fortinet
  • Experience of network monitoring, troubleshooting and management tools

Desirable

  • Cisco certification
  • Fortinet certification
  • Aruba certification

Additional Information

  • You will be required to work fully on‑site Monday to Friday
  • This role requires participation in 24/7 on‑call, which operates on a rotational basis
  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK
  • Due to our location, access to own transport is essential
  • Must meet Security Clearance requirements if this is a requirement of the role and any offer would be conditional upon the successful candidate passing BPSS which includes a criminal record check
