Position Summary

To support the leadership, development, and management of the Trauma & Emergency sales and clinical team to achieve national revenue and growth objectives. This role will work closely with and be guided by the Senior National Sales Manager, contributing to both sales’ execution and in‑country marketing initiatives across the UK business.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Support the continued growth of the Trauma & Emergency team, with a focus on core products and new product introductions aligned to business objectives.
  • Assist in retaining, developing, and motivating the UK team.
  • Contribute to the effective management of the product portfolio to support revenue growth and margin improvement.
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative team culture aligned to the organisation’s Core Values.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted ethically and in line with local regulations.
  • Support positioning of Teleflex and its products as a trusted provider within Trauma & Emergency clinical communities.
  • Assist in the development and execution of UK financial and strategic business plans.
  • Work closely with the Senior National Sales Manager to support delivery of divisional objectives.
  • Contribute to team development activities including Personal Development Plans and ongoing performance processes in line with HR requirements.
  • Provide operational support and input to ensure effective use of team resources.
  • Support management of the Trauma & Emergency Sales and Marketing OPEX in collaboration with senior leadership and marketing teams.
  • Assist in managing UK contractual obligations, including NHS Supply Chain and regional frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing functions to identify opportunities for growth and business development.
  • Accompany field teams on customer visits and attend relevant conferences as required.
  • Support the development and maintenance of strong customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure adherence to Core Values and contribute to a positive and high‑performing team environment.
  • Maintain ongoing development of clinical, commercial, and technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous personal and professional development.

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Educated to degree level in life sciences, business, or related field, or equivalent industry experience (typically 1–3 years).
  • Experience within medical devices, healthcare sales, or clinical environments is preferred.
  • Postgraduate business or marketing qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

  • Experience selling into the UK healthcare market is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales roles within medical devices or healthcare environments.
  • Some experience supporting or mentoring team members is advantageous.
  • Exposure to product portfolios and new product introductions is beneficial.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Good organisational and time‑management abilities.
  • Understanding of business planning and basic financial concepts.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills.
  • Positive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Interest in healthcare marketing and commercial strategy.
  • Basic understanding of clinical evidence and healthcare environments.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
