What you’ll be involved in
TMUK Lincoln are looking for a key individual to join our Operations Team in Firth Road, Lincoln as a Demand Planner.
The Demand Planner is responsible for maintaining and developing demand and supply planning capability within Operations.
The role focuses on creating clear and accurate demand plans, supporting delivery commitments, and enabling effective decision-making across Sales, Procurement, and Production.
This is a hands‑on role that works closely with the Demand Manager and cross‑functional teams to ensure continuity of planning, improve visibility, and support overall operational performance.
Key responsibilities of the Demand Planner role will include
- Demand & Order Book Management
- Maintain an accurate and up to date view of the customer order book and forecast.
- Track changes in demand and ensure planning outputs reflect the latest information.
- Ensure ERP (SAP) data is maintained and aligned with planning outputs.
- Planning & Schedule Development
- Develop and maintain short to medium term demand and supply plans.
- Support the creation of achievable production schedules.
- Identify gaps between demand, material availability, and production capacity.
- Data Integration & Coordination
- Collect and consolidate inputs from Sales, Procurement, and Production.
- Incorporate key constraints including supplier lead times, inventory, skills availability, and technical issues.
- Ensure all relevant inputs are reflected in planning outputs.
- Decision Support
- Provide clear and structured visibility of delivery capability, timing, and risks.
- Support cross-functional planning and review meetings.
- Challenge inputs where assumptions are unclear or inconsistent.
- Planning Continuity
- Maintain planning outputs and visibility during periods of absence.
- Run standard planning activities and updates when required.
- Continuous Improvement
- Improve clarity, structure, and usability of planning outputs.
- Identify inefficiencies in current planning processes and support improvements.
- Support the development of standardised planning tools and processes.

Essential Experience / Competencies
- Experience in demand planning, production planning, or supply chain environment.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Experience using ERP systems.
- Ability to translate data into clear and actionable outputs.
- Ability to communicate effectively across functions.
- Self‑motivated and able to manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Desirable Experience / Competencies
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Understanding of capacity planning and material constraints.
- Experience using business intelligence or reporting tools.
- Exposure to continuous improvement practices.
Desired Qualifications
- Qualification in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
