Based in Bromborough, Teledyne CML Composites is a fast-growing manufacturer, supplying carbon/glass fibre composite parts and assemblies to some of the world’s leading aircraft and aero engine producers. Operating across various distinct product groups including commercial and business jet products, this role is an opportunity to join a team putting the finishing touches to our highly technical products.
The manufacturing facility houses some of the most advanced machining technology in Europe such as a multi axis NDT robotic machine, automated material cutting machine and multi axis CNC machining centres. Summary
The Production Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the Master Production Schedule to ensure efficient workflow, timely delivery, and optimal resource utilization across all manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Master Schedule Execution: Create and manage detailed workflow plans derived from the Master Production Schedule for each Customer Product Stream, organized by work centre and operation.
- Lead Time Management: Establish accurate manufacturing and assembly lead times for all required components.
- Performance Reporting: Produce detailed reports and analysis on operational performance against the Production Schedule, including plan-versus-actual comparisons of KPIs across departments and stakeholders. Identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, and Inventory Control teams to address supply/demand imbalances caused by material shortages, resource constraints, or capacity issues.
- Capacity Planning: Develop forward-looking finite capacity plans based on historical performance and known constraints, supporting gap analysis against the Master Schedule.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend tactical solutions and process improvements to enhance scheduling accuracy and operational efficiency.
What we're looking for in you:
- Previous demonstratable experience within Planning and Supply Chain as a planner or similar.
- 1–3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced Level qualification or equivalent desirable.
