Teledyne Technologies Incorporated provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets that require advanced technology and high reliability. These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.

We are seeking an experienced hands-on IT Manager to join our IT team working from our office in Lincoln. Our ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic go-getter who has a passion for continual improvement. As well as being a hands-on support resource, the role would include some light managerial tasks. The role would be varied and suit somebody who has come through their IT support career from the ground up and enjoys the concept of “a little bit of everything”. IT Support roles are often defined on a 1st, 2nd, 3rd line tiering system; this role requires somebody who can work a little at all these levels as well as possessing good managerial / team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of IT operation(s).
  • Monitoring of KPI’s.
  • Monitoring of tickets, including escalating where required.
  • Liaising between the local site and Enterprise IT teams (Infrastructure, Apps etc.).
  • Supporting the wider enterprise IT management team to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and corporate governance.
  • Liaising with Teledyne business stakeholders to ensure IT are meeting the needs of the local business.
  • Onsite IT Support: working as part of a virtual IT team to provide customer support, troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents and requests (tickets). Where a resolution cannot be found then you would be expected to escalate accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance of and react to information from Enterprise Anti-Virus and other security tools.
  • Servers, switches, and wireless access points in conjunction with a remote Infrastructure team.
  • New user configuration and setup via Active Directory.
  • Support and maintenance of conference room equipment such as video conferencing systems, conference phones etc.
  • Acting as a “point of contact” for day-to-day IT support.
  • Maintain the onsite server room in line with enterprise standards.
  • Maintain the outlying comms racks throughout the facility.
  • Manage and maintain OU’s within Active Directory including users, groups and objects.
  • Support compliance initiatives such as SOX.
  • Support for annual IT budgeting for region.
  • Periodically project work will be assigned in parallel to day-to-day support responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Computer related Degree/Diploma/Microsoft or any IT Professional Certification and/or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 7 years IT support experience.
  • High-level server administration and troubleshooting knowledge in physical and virtual environments.
  • VMware environment and Microsoft Server experience.
  • Experience using an incident management system, such as ServiceNOW.
  • Experience in a Team Leader or Manager role.
  • Somebody who can think for themselves and work to ambiguous frameworks.
  • Experience with SOX.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience of supporting a manufacturing business and the concepts associated with that; ITIL, ERP / MRP, CAD etc.
  • Experience on using any CAD applications or Engineering applications.
