Job Description:
- Support the development, validation, and testing of new vacuum tube and microwave products, ensuring designs are suitable for component manufacture, assembly, and repeatable production.
- Develop and maintain a working understanding of microwave and vacuum tube technologies, materials, and processes to improve technical effectiveness and decision-making within the role.
- Identify, justify, and implement process and design improvements to enhance product reliability, consistency, and manufacturability, ensuring appropriate technical documentation is produced (e.g. drawings, specifications, procedures), with due consideration for cost, quality, and schedule.
- Take full ownership of assigned work packages or actions, delivering them on time and to the required technical standard, while providing clear, regular progress updates to the wider engineering team.
- Communicate and collaborate routinely with key stakeholders, including engineering management, project teams, and manufacturing personnel, to ensure alignment on technical priorities, risks, and progress.
