Overview

As a Electronics Engineer at Teledyne e2v Space Imaging, you will contribute to the development of Front End Electronics systems for space missions. You will join multidisciplinary teams to deliver FPGA-based and electrical hardware solutions that meet high-reliability requirements for long-duration space projects. You will work across the full lifecycle, from requirements and design through verification, testing and documentation, collaborating with Software, Electronics and Systems teams. Responsibilities

  • Deliver test equipment and FEE solutions within multi-disciplinary teams for space applications
  • End-to-end FPGA development including design, verification and test bench setup (VHDL, Microchip Libero, Xilinx Vivado)
  • PCB design for space applications using Altium, including schematic capture, layout support and stack-up definition
  • Lead verification activities, create and manage documentation and technical reports
  • Provide bid and business development support: proposal review, trade-off analyses, and effort/cost estimates
  • Respond rapidly to equipment issues and coordinate cross-functional problem solving
  • Prepare concepts and designs to meet requirements; update lifecycle and gate review artifacts
  • Capture system architecture with diagrams/charts to support lifecycle documentation and progress reviews
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders and maintain compliance verification matrices

Key requirements

  • FPGA bias: FPGA design in VHDL; experience with Microchip Libero and/or Xilinx Vivado; functional and timing verification; task generation for delivery
  • Electric hardware bias: full PCB lifecycle from requirements to testing; Altium design; component selection; schematic and layout validation; system verification
  • Strong documentation skills: requirements specs, design docs, test specs, manuals, work instructions
  • Experience with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
  • Cross-functional collaboration across Software, Electronics and Systems engineering
  • Spaceflight/Aerospace/Defense experience and ECSS awareness (advantageous)
