We are looking for x3 Receptionists, working between the hours of 8:00am and 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, on a 4 week flexi rota. The role is a varied and interesting job working in a medical practice within the reception area, including call handling and administrative duties.
The role holder will have excellent communication skills for face-to-face and telephone interactions with patients, service providers, and other health professionals at all levels. Experience in dealing with the general public is essential. A positive demeanour, the ability to stay calm and work under pressure, and a kind and empathetic approach are also required.
The post holder will be required to proactively communicate with relevant people, including staff, clinicians, patients, and visitors. Good PC literacy skills, using MS Office packages and NHS systems, are necessary, and training will be provided. Attention to detail and consistently following protocols and procedures to respond to patient/clinician requests and support with any urgent admin requirements are crucial. The role requires good organisational skills and the ability to effectively prioritise work.
Main duties of the job include working in a fast-paced environment as a team player at all Teldoc sites. The role is based at any of the 6 Teldoc practices, but you may be required to provide cover at the Shifnal sites, so you must be able to travel. Hours of work will be fully flexible, including 1 Saturday per month.
Job responsibilities include:
- Becoming familiar with Practice procedures and protocols, and complying with them
- Supporting the regular upkeep of both sites, adhering to and reinforcing health and safety across all sites
- Opening and closing sites
- Participating in all Reception and Practice Team activities, such as meetings
- Being responsible for self-development with support from the Practice Team
- Applying practice policies, standards, and guidance
Person Specification: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
