The HR and Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate and efficient administration of HR, training and payroll records in line with Teldoc and NHS standards.
Main duties of the job
- HR Administration
- Support the completion of the recruitment process in line with Teldoc and NHS policy, including job adverts, screening of CVs and arranging interviews.
- Carry out right to work checks and administer HR related documentation as applicable, such as offer letters, contracts of employment, ER documentation, flexible working paperwork etc. within a reasonable timeframe.
- Ensure setup, organisation and maintenance of relevant HR database and personnel files, to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and policy.
- Oversee the 5 year referencing process with agencies and third parties to ensure a robust system of checks is in place.
- Schedule induction programmes for new permanent employees and associated materials.
- Run HR reports from the HR Software as required.
- Administer probationary periods for new starters including setting reminders for managers and preparing appropriate letters.
- Monitor and support with the return-to-work process following sickness absences preparing return to work forms to include Bradford factor points and absence history.
- Scan paper personnel files into electronic files.
- Liaise with the Sr HR team on the maintenance of template letters.
- Support with the production of HR metrics each month.
- Administer family leave documentation in line with company policy.
- HR Payroll Administration
- Liaise with our internal payroll team in relation to new starter documents.
- Input and maintenance of payroll spreadsheets including monthly input of salary adjustments, overtime, new starters, leavers etc.
- Liaise with managers to collate required payroll change data, in line with payroll deadline.
- Respond to any employee HR related payroll queries in a timely manner.

Qualifications
- Proven work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Assistant or relevant role within an HR environment.
- Experience with HR software would be advantageous but not essential.
- Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills.
- Attention to detail, conscientious, tenacious and ensure confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and organise workload to deadline and with a pro-active desire to improve efficiencies, processes and working practices.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and in all circumstances.
- Ability to travel between our 10 sites within Telford and Shifnal as needed.
