We’re Hiring – Recruitment Consultant / Business Development Rep
Telcomarine is a specialist recruitment agency based in London, working within the subsea telecoms and offshore engineering industry. We’re at the heart of a niche but fast-growing sector that keeps the world connected, and we’re now looking for a talented individual to join our team and help drive the next stage of our growth.
About the Role
You’ll be playing a critical role in helping us grow our client base while building strong relationships with contractors and candidates worldwide.
What you’ll be doing:
- Client outreach – identifying new business opportunities, making first contact via LinkedIn, email, and calls, and booking intro meetings
- Account management – maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and supporting live projects
- Candidate sourcing – finding subsea telecoms and offshore engineering professionals through LinkedIn, CV databases, and referrals
- Candidate screening – reviewing CVs, pre-qualifying candidates, and preparing client-ready submissions
- Job management – posting roles, managing pipelines, and ensuring candidate records are accurate and up to date
- Business development – following up on conference leads, market mapping, and expanding our network in the subsea sector
- Admin & compliance – supporting with contracts, documentation, and onboarding processes
Who we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in recruitment or business development (agency or in-house), ideally in technical or engineering industries
- Strong communication skills – both written and spoken English, professional but approachable style
- Confident with outreach – not afraid to pick up the phone, send a LinkedIn message, or chase a lead
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and candidate sourcing tools
- Organised, detail-oriented, and structured with data entry and document management
- A commercial mindset – understands recruitment is both sales and relationship-driven
- Proactive, self-managing, and able to work independently with accountability
- Adaptable and quick to learn – subsea is a niche sector, but we’ll provide full training on the industry
