What will your role be? As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving the successful, strategic delivery of complex, cross-functional engineering programs.

What will you be doing?

  • Own the Technical Roadmap: Provide strategic leadership and technical oversight to define and execute the long-term delivery roadmap for one or more critical project areas or programs, ensuring alignment with overarching business strategy.
  • Drive End-to-End Delivery: Guide complex, multi-team initiatives from concept and architectural design through build, testing, final approval, and release, effectively managing scope, dependencies, quality, and quantifiable business outcomes.
  • Cross-Organisational Alignment: Proactively identify and manage critical delivery dependencies and drive strategic alignment across engineering and other business units to ensure cohesive execution of large programs.
  • Define and Govern Agile Practices: Define, implement, and champion Agile and Scrum best practices (including flow, estimation, and capacity planning) across multiple engineering teams.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Maintain, track, and transparently report on project health using key metrics (e.g., velocity, capacity utilisation, burndown, and task breakdown) to provide accurate forecasts and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Impediment Removal: Act as the primary escalation point, quickly facilitating the resolution of issues and impediments that block progress across teams.
  • Agile Mentorship: Lead and coach in Agile techniques and delivery excellence.
  • Program Risk Ownership: Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and business risks, developing robust contingency plans for mission-critical initiatives and communicating risk status to executive leadership.
  • Define Release Strategy: Define and govern the release management strategy, coordinating major releases, managing deployment schedules, and ensuring environment readiness and stability.

This may be you:

  • Proven experience working in the technology services industry.
  • Experience working in complex enterprise environments utilising Microsoft, Google, or comparable technology stacks, managing technical programs or serving in a senior/lead capacity.
  • Proven expertise in program management and successfully delivering large-scale, multi-year initiatives with interconnected dependencies.
  • Expert-level understanding of diverse software development methodologies, including Scaled Agile Frameworks, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall project models.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or relevant experience.
  • Experience with advanced reporting for key stakeholders, workflow management, and defining organisational standards.
