Position Summary

We are looking for flexible, dependable support to join our team on an as-needed basis. This role is key to maintaining consistent service delivery during peak periods, staff leave, and unexpected absences. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, reliable, and able to step in at short notice to provide high-quality support. You will be confident integrating quickly into a team, managing fluctuating workloads, and contributing positively within a fast-paced environment to ensure continuity of operations when demand is high.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responding to a diverse range of customers' nutritional needs via telephone and email
  • Assessing the previous and current health profile of individuals evaluating food intake, exercise and lifestyle
  • Offering educated advice aligned with current evidence, meal suggestions and lifestyle changes both verbally and via written consultation notes
  • Contributing to blog posts and client webinars
  • Using a safe, encrypted online service and bespoke consultation platform
  • Adopting a customer first approach in everything that you do
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records and use digital health systems in line with organisational policies
  • Work within defined scope of practice and refer appropriately when concerns fall outside nutritional care

About You

  • Demonstrable experience delivering personalised, evidence-based nutritional advice that is both practical and patient-centred.
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive within a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is essential; familiarity with telehealth services or virtual care delivery is desirable.
  • Capable of working autonomously while also contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage patients clearly and professionally in a remote setting.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent organisational skills, punctuality, and a compassionate, empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a willingness to take initiative and manage workload effectively.
  • High level of IT literacy, including experience with digital healthcare systems and online communication tools.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Nutritionist (to degree level)
  • Proven experience of providing nutrition support
  • Current active registration with an independent professional body such as AfN
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working in telehealth or digital health services
  • Experience supporting long-term conditions, weight management, or metabolic health
  • Training in motivational interviewing or health coaching
  • Experience working alongside multidisciplinary teams
