Position Summary

We are looking for a passionate and patient-focused Virtual Physiotherapist to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care remotely, to support a wide range of patients presenting with Musculoskeletal conditions.

As a Virtual Physiotherapist, you will triage patients, conduct assessments, develop personalised treatment plans, provide evidence-based advice and exercise programmes, and support patients through virtual consultations using secure digital platforms.

Monday to Friday, 15:00–20:00 (flexible working considered for the right candidate)

Salary

£40K-£48K Do E, Band 6 equivalent, pro-rata for part-time hours (£25K-£30K actual)

  • Main Responsibilities
  • Triaging patients to ensure clinical appropriateness and patient safety. Recognising red flags promptly and escalating or referring patients appropriately.
  • Undertake comprehensive musculoskeletal (MSK) assessments via video or phone.
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation programmes tailored to individual patient needs and goals.
  • Provide expert advice, education, and self-management support to patients with a wide range of MSK conditions and pain presentations.
  • Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment outcomes, and adjust management plans as required to optimise recovery and function.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical records in accordance with professional, legal, and organisational standards.
  • Contribute to a culture of shared learning through participation in team meetings, case discussions, clinical supervision, and service development activities.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, clinical audit, and the implementation of best practice within the service.
  • Comply with professional, regulatory, and organisational policies.

About You

  • Experience assessing and managing a diverse caseload of MSK conditions using evidence-based, patient-centred physiotherapy.
  • Confident delivering remote assessments and identifying when escalation or referral is required.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, applying sound clinical judgement.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage patients effectively virtually.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and committed to accurate, timely clinical documentation.
  • Compassionate, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with strong workload and time-management skills.
  • Competent in using electronic patient records, video consultation platforms, and IT systems.
  • Committed to continuous professional development, shared learning, and service improvement.

Essential Requirements

  • HCPC Chartered Physiotherapist with around 3 years' post-registration MSK physiotherapy experience in a Band 6-equivalent role or similar.
  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
  • Strong clinical reasoning and remote assessment skills.
  • Competence using digital systems and electronic patient records.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working in telehealth or digital health services delivering remote consultations.
  • Post-graduate qualification in MSK Physiotherapy (e. g. PGCert, PGDip or MSc) or equivalent advanced MSK training.
