The Client is seeking an Internal Auditor to join the QTL department within Internal Audit. The successful candidate will support the preparation and execution of internal audits and contribute to the overall internal surveillance system in line with the managed audit process. This role will report to the Audit Manager and work closely with a team of auditors based in Broughton. This opportunity has arisen as sickness cover and would suit a candidate with a quality background who understands the audit and reporting side of the business, ideally within a production or quality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Quality Audit Managers based in Broughton in managing OW (Wings) and Logistics & Transport internal surveillance audit programmes
  • Support internal audit planning, roadmap updates, and reporting
  • Assist the internal audit team with preparation for audits and support audit execution
  • Record audit information accurately in the audit database, MAUD
  • Help prepare reports, take notes during audit activities, and write up findings alongside the team
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements within the department
  • Support various initiatives raised within the QTL department to strengthen internal surveillance activities

Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a quality-based role
  • Good understanding of audit and reporting processes
  • Ideally, experience within a production and/or quality environment
  • Ability to support preparation of reports and document audit findings
  • Strong organisational and structured working style
  • Effective communication skills and assertiveness
  • Team-oriented approach
  • Curiosity, open-mindedness toward change, and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Can-do attitude
  • Previous experience in Aerospace Quality, with knowledge of BMS and surveillance systems, would be desirable
  • Experience is valued more highly than formal qualifications
