An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer to join the Wing Analysis Engineering team at client location.
About us: We are a team of Structural Engineers who are a mixture of technical specialists and engineering leads who are all passionate about finding technical solutions to support client products Wings. This role offers more flexibility to work on most of the client product Wings; from incremental developments in Single Aisle and Widebody programmes, to cost saving and continuous airworthiness modifications. Our team touches nearly all aspects of the Product Development Plan (PDP) from feasibility studies to certification and occurrences once the product has entered service.
What you will be doing: The main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- You will approve F&DT deliverables and lead the resolution of F&DT problems through the use of appropriate methods.
- You will be responsible for the technical scope of assigned projects and tasks.
- You will contribute to engineering solutions and ways of working borne from experience in aerospace, other industries or research environments.
- You will support the development of less experienced team members on both technical and behavioural aspects.
About You: We are looking for candidates with the following skills and competences:
- You bring experience and know-how of structures engineering and analytical techniques.
- You have good knowledge of overall aircraft structural design principles and techniques.
- You will hold or be close to holding approval signatory in F&DT analysis.
- You are able to step back and propose new ideas.
- You studied engineering and have a structural analysis background, particularly fatigue and damage tolerance.
- Working in client implies working in an international environment, as such you shall be able to communicate easily in English.
- You will work in a diverse and multi-national environment; other languages and experience of a wide range of cultures is therefore beneficial.
- You will act with integrity, recognising this is the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
