The Opportunity
Tektora is working with a specialist defence consultancy delivering high-assurance data, security, and operational intelligence solutions across sensitive UK government and defence programmes. We are seeking a DV-cleared Splunk Core Consultant to support mission-critical environments, working closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders. This role will involve client travel and on-site engagement, working within highly secure environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimise Splunk Core solutions in secure, high-availability environments
- Develop dashboards, searches, alerts, and reports to support operational intelligence and security use cases
- Ingest and normalise data from multiple sources across complex infrastructure estates
- Support Splunk platform health, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Engage directly with defence and government stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Contribute to documentation, knowledge transfer, and secure delivery best practice
Required Experience
- Active DV clearance
- Strong hands‑on experience with Splunk Core (deployment, configuration, administration)
- Experience working within defence, government, or other high‑assurance environments
- Solid understanding of Splunk, networking, and log/data pipelines
- Comfortable working on client sites and in secure facilities
Desirable
- Splunk certifications (Core Certified User)
- Exposure to SIEM, SOC, or security monitoring environments
- Experience integrating Splunk with cloud or hybrid platform
