Description
To lead a team of data and analytics engineers responsible for the firms international Risk Reporting platforms, this role will be a mix of both technical aspects as well as general team leadership
Key Responsibilities:
Leading and mentoring an international team of data and analytics engineers (10-15 staff) focused on Risk data ingestion, transformation and reporting
Providing database and reporting technology subject matter expertise, collaborating with Risk stakeholders (Market Risk, Credit Risk & Enterprise Risk Managers) to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Design and development of innovative solutions to complex problems that maintain highly efficient, available and fault tolerant systems
Staying up-to-date with industry trends and contribute to the architectural strategy for risk reporting, aligning with regulatory requirements and enterprise data strategy
Delivery of a complex portfolio of risk reporting change initiatives ranging from minor enhancements to large scale projects, including timelines, estimation, budgeting, resourcing and vendor relationships
Ensuring resilience and stability by applying validated software engineering practices, including leading code reviews, adherence to testing best-practices and DevOps principles
Essential Skills;
- Snowflake Experience
- Knowledge on the Power Bi Tool
- Experience leading a team of more than 5 members directly
- Experience working in a Financial institution preferably in a Risk Department
