We are seeking an SC Cleared Electrical Design Field Engineer to support projects across the UK. This role combines hands-on site-based intrusive surveys with remote design and reporting work. The role typically involves one site survey per week, followed by home-based documentation and design work.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site surveys
- Assess not only electrical systems, but also wider site conditions and infrastructure
- Complete approximately one survey per week, typically consisting of:
- 1 day travel
- 12 days on-site
- Remaining time working remotely on reporting and design outputs
- Review and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Produce detailed survey reports and design-related documentation
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and CDM2015 requirements
- Collaborate with project and delivery teams to ensure accurate and timely outputs
Requirements
- IOSH certification essential
- Active SC Clearance essential
- Experience in electrical engineering within utilities, transmission, or power sectors
- Strong understanding of AC and DC systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
