Full Stack Developer in Slough

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer contractor to help design, build and deliver capabilities within a complex Financial Services environment. The role combines full stack engineering, data-driven analysis and statistical modelling to turn pricing insights into scalable, reliable solutions that support effective business decision-making. You will work across front-end and back-end development, creating intuitive user interfaces, robust services and integrations that distribute agreed pricing into wider organisation and sourcing systems. You will collaborate closely with engineering, modelling and business stakeholders to improve existing applications and deliver new capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build and deliver pricing optimisation and distribution capabilities using financial inputs, price-elasticity models and business constraints.
Develop and maintain scalable full stack applications, including responsive user interfaces, back-end services and data workflows.
Create reliable processes and integrations that distribute agreed pricing into wider bank and sourcing systems.
Translate business and modelling requirements into clear, practical technical solutions.
Improve the usability, performance, resilience and maintainability of existing applications.
Apply effective testing, source-control, CI/CD and engineering practices throughout delivery.
Work closely with engineering, modelling and business teams to deliver agreed outcomes.

Experience
and Skills
Strong commercial Experience as a Full Stack Developer, Software Engineer or in a similar hands-on engineering role.
Proficiency in Python and React, with Experience delivering both front-end components and back-end services.
Practical Experience with Snowflake, AWS SageMaker or comparable cloud-based data and machine-learning services.
Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, robust and efficient technical solutions.
Good knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git and modern source-control workflows.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder-management and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively across engineering, modelling and business teams in a delivery-focused environment.
Desirable: Experience within banking, financial services or another highly regulated environment.
Desirable: Knowledge of optimisation methods, multivariate techniques, model development, model-risk management and model monitoring.
