Contract - Sheffield, hybrid 3 days per week. Initially until End of November.

Summary: The role holder is accountable for supporting global data privacy strategy for Human Resources function, enabling implementation of framework, and supporting the plan to embed and operate data privacy controls effectively in relation to Employee Data. The role will cover the following key areas:

  • Data Visa submissions: Support HR stakeholders to prepare, review and submit HR related Data Privacy cases in the global assessment tool for managing Privacy Impact Assessments, Data Sharing approvals and Record of Processing related controls.
  • Privacy Assessments: Support review and approval of Privacy Assessments, provide appropriate and timely response to the Projects/Programmes. Liaise with Legal/DPO colleagues to ensure appropriate legal support is received, where necessary on key PIAs.
  • Governance and Controls Implementation support: Support global governance activities in implementing and operating the controls key markets for Privacy Notices, Rights of Individuals and Consent and Choice controls.
  • Data Security support: Provide support on key matters involving management/operationalisation of Data Security/Access Management related controls.

The candidate should have a broad experience of working in Data related fields as this person will work with wider Project/Programme transformation stakeholders, Global Service Owners, Risk and Control Owners, IT and CDO team members to support embedding and operation of Data Privacy.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Work with GSOs, Risk Owner and Control owner to support key projects/programmes involving Data Privacy.
  • Support multiple projects/programmes with competing deadlines. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient resource; provides knowledge and capabilities as leader, team member and individual contributor.
  • Support critical issues in relation to controls or programmes are understood and escalated at appropriate governance forums.
  • Continuously reviews/monitors risks/controls and operations to identify gaps, recommend potential solutions, where appropriate.
  • Review Privacy Impact assessments, ensure timely responses.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead completion of PIAs involving employee data (close alignment with other Group HR CDO team members and HR stakeholders).
  • Support development of practical solutions to embed and operate data privacy controls effectively across all areas of HR function, and where feasible, use Group Data solutions or other alternatives available (close alignment with COO, Regions, other key functions).
  • Support and leverage Data Privacy Policy, Risks and Controls Taxonomy and wider Operational Risk Framework to drive effectiveness and continuous monitoring and track key risks and issues (close alignment with Head of Risk, Controls Office).
  • Provide advice on data privacy queries from different members of the HR function, including additional information and recommendation, where necessary.
  • Support key workshops and training sessions to share best practices and knowledge around data privacy.
  • Understand solutions proposed by Group Programmes and its implementation in HR; Support delivery of privacy by design across key HR global transformation projects/programmes.
