As organisations accelerate the adoption of AI and Gen AI technologies within software engineering, there is a growing need to ensure these tools are used securely, responsibly and effectively.

We are seeking an experienced technologist with a strong engineering background who is passionate about helping engineering teams embrace AI safely at scale.

This is an opportunity to move beyond hands‑on delivery and influence how thousands of engineers, architects and technology teams adopt new ways of working.

This role combines engineering credibility, cybersecurity expertise, AI knowledge and behavioural change experience.

You’ll act as a trusted advisor to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, translating complex AI and cyber risks into practical guidance that engineers can apply in their day‑to‑day work.

Instead, it’s a strategic and transformational position focused on driving secure engineering behaviours, influencing culture, and enabling large‑scale adoption of AI‑enabled development practices.

Role

You will lead the design and delivery of an AI Cyber Behaviour Programme focused on helping engineering communities adopt AI securely by embedding practical behaviours into existing engineering workflows.

Working across Cybersecurity, Engineering, Architecture, AI Enablement and Technology Leadership teams, you’ll define what good AI‑enabled engineering looks like and build the frameworks, interventions and measurement approaches needed to drive meaningful change.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a Global Behaviour Change Programme
  • Define and drive the roadmap for AI cyber behaviours and secure AI adoption.
  • Identify priority technical audiences and focus efforts on the highest‑risk and highest‑impact groups.

  • Partner with Engineering Communities
  • Build strong relationships with engineers, architects, platform teams, Dev Sec Ops practitioners and technology leaders.
  • Influence how AI is integrated into engineering workflows.
  • Work alongside technical communities to embed secure‑by‑design behaviours into day‑to‑day delivery practices.
  • Act as a credible voice with both highly technical audiences and senior business stakeholders.
  • Measure What Matters
  • Move beyond traditional training metrics.

• Define outcome‑based measures focused on

  • Behaviour adoption
  • Vulnerability reduction
  • Improved security practices
  • Faster remediation times
  • Reduced recurrence of common issues
  • Use engineering, vulnerability and incident data to continuously refine the programme.
  • Drive Awareness and Engagement
  • Develop communications and engagement strategies that resonate with technical audiences.
  • Create practical enablement activities that help engineers apply secure AI practices in real‑world scenarios.
  • Partner with engineering centres of excellence and technical communities to build momentum and engagement.
  • Who We’re Looking For
