Job Title: Business Architect Job Description This Business Architect role supports a high-profile migration policy programme, focused on the integration and migration of policies, customers, processes and capabilities within a large-scale Financial Services transformation. The position requires a seasoned professional who can shape and maintain the business architecture, define future-state operating models, and ensure alignment between strategic objectives and delivery activities. Responsibilities Define, maintain and continuously refine business architecture artefacts across the migration programme. Develop and clearly articulate current-state and target-state business operating models to support strategic decision-making. Map business capabilities, end-to-end processes, customer journeys and organisational impacts to inform design and delivery. Work closely with Programme Leadership, Business Analysts, Solution Architects and Change teams to ensure strong alignment between business outcomes and delivery activities. Identify business risks, dependencies and opportunities throughout the migration journey and provide recommendations to address them. Support executive-level communications and decision forums with clear, concise and actionable recommendations. Translate strategic objectives into practical business outcomes, ensuring that proposed solutions are both feasible and value-driven. Essential Skills Proven experience operating as a Business Architect within large-scale transformation programmes. Strong background in Financial Services, ideally in Life & Pensions, Insurance, Wealth or Investments. experience supporting large migration, integration, separation, platform replacement or business transformation initiatives. Demonstrable experience defining target operating models, business capabilities and business architecture frameworks. experience translating strategic objectives into practical, measurable business outcomes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience supporting policy administration, customer migration or book transfer programmes. experience within Life & Pensions organisations, particularly involving legacy system transformation. Knowledge of regulatory and operational considerations within UK Financial Services. Familiarity with recognised business architecture methodologies and frameworks. Collaborative approach with strong emotional intelligence and the ability to build effective relationships. Expertise in business architecture and migration strategy, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholder interests.
