Role Overview:
We are seeking a Technical Lead in London to join our Global Middle/Back Office Technology team. The role involves close collaboration with Business, Operations, Compliance, and other teams for new projects and MTB changes. The Technical Lead will lead the regulatory reporting function across EMEA and spearhead the strategic Mifid Transaction Reporting Reengineering project, analysing the current platform and designing a new solution aligned with corporate architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the regulatory reporting function across EMEA.
- Assess new business requests and drive the Mifid Transaction Reporting Reengineering initiative.
- Analyse the existing Mifid Transaction Reporting platform and develop a fit-for-purpose solution.
- Work closely with Business, Operations, Compliance, and other IT teams (Front Office IT, Finance IT) to deliver the project.
- Act as a greenfield project champion, demonstrating technical capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
- Minimum 8 years in Capital Markets regulatory reporting, post-trade or trading.
- Hands‑on experience with reporting platforms such as Qlik, SmartBI, or Crystal Reports.
- Strong communication skills, able to translate complex technical issues and explain business impact to non-technical stakeholders.
- Desire to learn Cash Equities business workflow and front-to-back system architecture.
- Soft skills: stakeholder management, teamwork, adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in SQL, Python, Linux, and scripting.
