Operations specialist – Intraday Liquidity & Cash Management Change (Contract) Job description
We are seeking an operations specialist to join a multi-year intraday liquidity and cash management transformation programme for a top bank. The London team operates as a change function between Operations, Corporate Treasury, and Technology, supporting both current-state process uplift and future-state system implementation, including the onboarding of a new cash management application. This role is change-focused, not BAU, and involves documentation, process redesign, implementation, and system onboarding.
Required Experience & Technical Skills Core Experience
- 3+ years' Experience within a large Tier-1 banking environment.
- Strong cash management and intraday liquidity Experience .
- Capital Markets Experience is a significant advantage.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Understanding of payment, settlement, and liquidity flows.
- Hands-on Experience with:
- Cash management systems or treasury platforms
- UAT/system testing for change or implementation
- Familiarity with central securities depositories:
- Crest
- Euroclear
- Clearstream
Change & Delivery Mindset
- Experience supporting new system rollouts.
- Process redesign and documentation.
- Transitioning work from regional teams into a centralised model.
- Comfortable operating across Operations, Treasury, and Technology.
Key Responsibilities Regulatory & Change Delivery
- Produce and maintain audit-ready documentation, SOPs, and process artefacts.
- Respond to regulatory and audit evidence requests.
Cash Management Process Development
- Design and document intraday EUR/GBP cash management processes.
- Enhance processes to align with CAD/USD frameworks.
- Support the centralisation of cash management into the London hub.
Systems & Application Implementation
- Contribute to the onboarding of a new cash management application.
- Translate current-state workflows into functional and technical requirements.
- Support UAT planning and execution, including test scenarios and defect management.
- Partner with Technology to ensure accurate delivery.
