We’re seeking an Automation Engineer who excels at turning complex operational workflows into secure, scalable, and dependable automated solutions. In this position, you’ll work closely with product stakeholders, gain a deep understanding of end‑to‑end processes, and design automation that delivers consistent, high‑quality performance at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of automation, from testing through to implementation
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to assess workflows and identify automation opportunities
  • Architect and implement robust, high‑performance automation solutions
  • Apply security‑by‑default practices across all automation work
  • Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise automated workflows for reliability and scalability
  • Champion strong documentation standards and contribute to a culture of quality and ownership

Requirements

  • Hands‑on experience delivering Ansible‑based automation
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, Bash, or similar
  • Previous exposure to working with global teams
  • Experience working in Agile environments

This role will be hybrid, 3 days per week on site in York.
