Client: Large Global Tech Firm Workplace: Fully Remote Length: Until mid-October (extension likely) Description: Were looking for a senior fullstack infrastructure engineer with strong Bazel experience to join a developer tooling workstream focused on scaling and modernising build and CI infrastructure for a large, complex engineering organisation. This role sits at the intersection of build systems, CI/CD, and developer experience . Youll work on foundational tooling used daily by hundreds of engineers across web, mobile, and desktop platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role , ideal for someone who enjoys tackling hard problems in build performance, reliability, and system ergonomics at scale. What you’ll be working on:

Designing, maintaining, and evolving Bazel-based build systems in a large monorepo environment
Supporting and improving CI/CD pipelines , including a migration from legacy CI tooling to a modern CI platform (e.g. Buildkite)
Enabling the colocation and integration of multiple platforms (web, mobile, desktop) within a single client-focused monorepo
Improving build reliability, performance, caching, and developer feedback loops
Collaborating closely with engineers across multiple teams to roll out build and tooling changes safely
Helping shape internal developer tooling, best practices, and documentation
What we’re looking for:
Strong, hands-on experience with Bazel in a production environment
Strong backend experience with Java and SQL
experience working on CI systems and build pipelines at scale
Background in build system migrations or adoptions (e.g. Gradle/Make/CMake ? Bazel)
experience working with large codebases or monorepos
senior-level engineer comfortable operating across systems and abstractions
