Our client is undertaking a significant strategic initiative to establish a new regulated legal entity in Europe. As part of this programme, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong finance background to support the delivery of regulatory requirements, governance activities, and financial workstreams associated with the entity setup. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Risk, Regulatory, and Executive stakeholders, ensuring robust governance and coordination across multiple workstreams while supporting key regulatory submissions and leadership reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project management activities across Finance-related workstreams supporting the establishment of a new European legal entity.
- Coordinate and manage financial inputs required for regulatory applications, ensuring quality, completeness, and appropriate governance throughout the submission process.
- Support the preparation and oversight of financial information including base case forecasts, stress scenarios, capital and liquidity assumptions, and other regulatory deliverables.
- Act as a central point of coordination between Finance and the wider programme team, managing requests, dependencies, actions, and stakeholder communications.
- Develop high-quality management information and executive presentations for CFO and senior leadership forums, providing clear updates on programme progress, risks, and key decisions.
- Monitor project milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, and governance requirements across Finance workstreams.
- Provide financial analysis support where required, including legal entity P&L, balance sheet analysis, business case assessments, and ad hoc management requests.
- Ensure consistency and alignment across Finance, Risk, Treasury, and Regulatory stakeholders throughout the programme lifecycle.
- Support governance forums by coordinating meeting materials, producing reporting packs, and tracking actions and decisions.
- Provide support and cross-coverage for broader Finance Regulatory Office (FRO) activities when required, including ALCO governance activities and senior management reporting.
Required Experience
- Proven Project Management experience within Financial Services, Banking, or Capital Markets environments.
- Strong understanding of Finance functions, including financial reporting, planning, balance sheet management, and legal entity governance.
- Experience supporting regulatory programmes, entity launches, regulatory applications, or large-scale business transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrable experience managing senior stakeholders, including CFO, Finance leadership teams, and regulatory workstreams.
- Strong governance, programme coordination, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to synthesise complex information into concise presentations and executive-level communications.
- Experience preparing management information, steering committee materials, and governance reporting packs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret financial data.
- Excellent organisation, communication, and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced programme environment.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting the establishment of new legal entities, branches, or regulated businesses within Europe.
- Exposure to ICAAP, ILAAP, recovery planning, capital planning, or regulatory approval processes.
- Knowledge of Treasury, ALCO governance, liquidity, capital, and balance sheet management.
- Professional qualifications in Project Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline would be advantageous.
