Graduate Electrical Lab Technician – Long term contract opportunity

100% on site in West London Office

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician who possesses strong organisational skills for effective lab management. The role requires physical capability to lift instruments weighing up to 45kgs and general proficiency with computers, particularly Macs.

You will have the chance to learn and hone skills and Python & C++ and will be encouraged to learn from some of the highest skilled in this area as side from your day to day job on the recalibration line.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organise test data efficiently.
  • Run internal Test Executive to calibrate RF Test Instruments.
  • Utilise a variety of RF measurement equipment accurately.
  • Rigorously follow and contribute to the maintenance of SOPs.
  • Perform hands-on technical tasks including disassembly, inspection, and assembly of electronic modules.
  • Inspect circuit boards and perform visual and functional diagnostics.
  • Conduct rework of circuit boards, including hand soldering of SMT components.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to manage lab organisation effectively.
  • Physical capability to lift instruments weighing up to 45kgs.
  • Proficiency in using Macs and general computer knowledge.
  • Experience with RF measurement equipment and calibration.
  • Competence in following and maintaining SOPs.
  • Technical skills in disassembly, inspection, and assembly of electronic modules.
  • Skill in inspecting and diagnosing circuit boards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in hardware, soldering, and electrical engineering.
