A leading organisation is seeking two experienced Azure/DevOps Engineers to join their team on a contract basis. This is an opportunity to play a key role in stabilising and enhancing cloud infrastructure while contributing to the early stages of a long‑term Internal Developer Platform initiative. If you’re an Azure specialist with strong DevOps and networking skills — and you enjoy hands‑on engineering in a collaborative environment — this role will suit you perfectly.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for supporting and improving the organisation’s Azure Data Centre and CI/CD ecosystem. Your initial focus will be clearing a backlog of infrastructure and pipeline-related tasks, followed by helping shape the foundations of a future Internal Developer Platform (DevEx) designed to elevate engineering efficiency and developer experience. This is a highly technical, delivery‑focused position where your expertise will have a visible impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Azure infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, or Bicep
- Build, optimise and support Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Apply strong networking knowledge to support deployments and infrastructure needs
- Work through an existing backlog of infrastructure, pipelines, and platform improvements
- Contribute to early planning and design of a future internal platform (DevEx)
- Collaborate effectively with IT teams and technical stakeholders
- Operate within a cross‑functional engineering environment

- Proven experience operating Azure environments using IaC (Terraform, OpenTofu, Bicep)
