Product Control – Capital Markets Location: London Working Pattern: 4 days onsite / 1 day working from home Contract: 6-month rolling contract We are looking for an experienced Product Controller to join a high-profile programme within a global Capital Markets environment. This role will suit someone with strong Product Control / Markets Finance experience, working closely with Front Office trading desks, Finance, Risk and Operations to provide robust P&L analysis and financial control across trading activity. Key Responsibilities Produce, review and analyse daily and monthly P&L.
Perform P&L attribution and investigate unexplained movements.
Analyse trading results and provide clear commentary on key drivers.
Review balance sheet positions, reconciliations and substantiation.
Investigate booking, valuation and data issues.
Partner closely with Front Office trading desks, Finance, Risk and Operations.
Maintain robust financial controls around trading activity.
Support month-end reporting and wider Finance deliverables.
Identify opportunities to improve Product Control processes and reporting.
Key experience Strong Product Control experience within Investment Banking / Capital Markets.
Excellent understanding of P&L, valuations and financial controls.
experience working directly with Front Office / trading desks.
Product knowledge across Rates, Credit, FX, Equities and/or Fixed Income.
Strong reconciliation and balance sheet control experience.
Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
