The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to support the delivery of a high-profile Asset Investment Planning & Management (AIPM) platform currently in procurement. This is a key role where you will shape and define the architecture for a critical programme, working across multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment, clarity, and successful delivery.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead the development of core architecture artefacts:
    • High-Level Designs (HLD)
    • Detailed Level Designs (DLD)
    • Additional documentation such as SADA where required
  • Define and establish a clear, scalable, and deliverable Solution Architecture
  • Collaborate closely with:
    • Vendor Solution Architects
    • Internal architecture teams
    • Security, Data, and ERP stakeholders
  • Ensure alignment with organisational technology strategy, standards, and governance
  • Provide regular updates and insights to stakeholders to support programme progress

Integration Landscape

You will be working within an established integration environment that includes:

  • SAP (existing integration)
  • GIS (new integration requirement)
  • Scheduled interfaces between SAP and the current AIPM platform

Data flows:

  • Existing flows between SAP, AIPM platform, and enterprise Data Lake
  • Limited GIS data ingestion into the Data Lake (with scope for expansion)

Architecture & Governance

  • Deliver architecture outputs aligned with System Integration (SI) processes
  • Produce standard artefacts including HLD, DLD, and additional required documentation
  • Ensure adherence to architecture governance frameworks and best practices

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect on complex transformation programmes
  • Strong background in integration architecture (SAP, Data Platforms, GIS desirable) experience delivering HLDs, DLDs, and structured architecture artefacts
  • Ability to operate across technical and business stakeholders
  • Familiarity with architecture governance and structured delivery frameworks
