This 12‑month consultancy role focuses on managing regulatory reports, dashboards, and datasets as products within a regulatory reporting platform. You will work at the intersection of data, regulation, and product, translating regulatory and business requirements into clear, data‑driven specifications for data engineers and architects. The position is highly data‑centric and places strong emphasis on documentation, controls, and audit‑ready deliverables, within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Treat regulatory reports, dashboards, and datasets as products within a regulatory reporting platform, managing their lifecycle from definition through to delivery.
  • Work closely with data engineers and data architects to adapt existing EMEA regulatory reports and design new ones that meet evolving regulatory and business requirements.
  • Translate regulatory and business requirements into precise, data‑driven specifications, including data sourcing, transformations, and output formats.
  • Define and validate data requirements, including source systems, key fields, data mappings, and transformation rules for regulatory reporting.
  • Review and validate SQL‑based logic implemented by engineering teams, ensuring joins, aggregations, and transformations align with agreed specifications.
  • Define and review output schemas for regulatory reports, including XML, JSON, and spreadsheet‑style outputs, ensuring they meet regulatory and stakeholder needs.
  • Ensure that all deliverables are thoroughly documented, including requirements, data flows, controls, and reporting logic, to support audit and regulatory scrutiny.
  • Contribute to the design and enhancement of data warehousing and reporting platforms used for regulatory reporting.
  • Collaborate within an Agile or Scrum framework, participating in ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand‑ups, and reviews to ensure timely delivery of reporting products.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across regulatory, risk, finance, and technology functions to clarify requirements and resolve data or reporting issues.
  • Promote and support robust data quality controls, highlighting issues and working with technical teams to remediate data gaps or inconsistencies.
  • Foster a collaborative, empathetic team culture by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and contributing to continuous improvement of processes and documentation.

Essential Skills

  • Strong SQL literacy, including a solid understanding of joins, aggregations, transformations, and data quality considerations.
  • Proven experience working with structured reporting data in regulated or audit‑driven environments.
  • Demonstrable ability to define and validate detailed data requirements and transformation rules for reporting or analytics use cases.
  • Experience translating regulatory or business requirements into clear, actionable product and data specifications.
